Index was once a small and close-knit community, but the town located on the western side of Washington state has grown in recent years beyond anyone's expectations. It is the ideal place for those who work in Seattle but can't afford the city's high real estate prices, and for others the natural beauty attracts them to the town. And Index truly is a beautiful place - surrounded by thick evergreen trees, tall mountains and glistening rivers and lakes. While weather is typically rainy with overcast skies even this does nothing to take away from the beauty of the town, and it is only highlighted further when the heavy snow graces the town and caps the mountains in winter. To many, Index would seem like a paradise. And yet lurking beneath this visual beauty there is more to this town than anyone might ever imagine...

Current Time in Index, Washington:
PLAYBYS: Sims from the games Sims 2, 3 and 4 are used to visually represent player’s original characters (no characters from within the franchise are allowed). But, you do not need these games to join and roleplay! If you wish, you can post a thread in our out of character / general forum and list as many physical details about your character as you wish. The members of Index will happily try and make a character for you, and you can choose which one you feel best fits your vision.

AVATARS: Avatars should display your characters face clearly and should be at least 200 pixels tall, and 200 pixels wide.

THREADING & POSTING: When threading with multiple characters, it is important that you post only when it is your turn. This can be acheived by taking note of who has posted before you, and remember you are to always post after them. If you were the thread starter, then it is your turn after the final person has joined your thread.

When creating a thread you are required to place a tag before the title. Here are a list of types of thread you can create and how to tag each one:

[Open] Anyone is welcome to join your thread, with no limit on the number of characters.
[Open - #] Anyone is welcome to join your thread, but there is a limit on the number of characters who can join. Replace the # with how many extra characters you will allow to join your thread.
[Private] Only specific characters can join your thread.
[Closed] This tag should be used for threads that only involve your character.

ACTIVITY: To keep threads moving, people are encouraged to post within three days when it is their turn. If you do not post within three days, and you have not asked people to wait for you, it is possible you will be skipped. Keep in mind this is just a suggestion. While we'd love for everyone to be active every day, we understand that real life and other hobbies are just as important, if not more. We want you to be active because you want to be, not because a rule is telling you to be.

MATURITY RATING: Public threads should all be PG. If roleplayers above the age of 18 wish to post content that could be could be considered graphic then it should be hidden from view using the [hide] [/hide] code, which will enable only those in the threads and administrators to view the content.

The buck kicked and fussed, threatening to kill itself in the process. Likely the creature had never known captivity. Sometimes I envied the ignorance of animals; I figured they didn't have much of a memory. Only what was going on in the exact instant. Sure, some things were avoided, and I knew that I was no expert, but that had something to do with that Pavlov guy, right? Even us humans were susceptible to the same thing. You see that juicy steak and you salivate before your mouth has anything for it to actually tear down. But wasn't it a waste for such a simple creature to have a soul? Or did it matter? It's not like souls used up some precious resource. Really, the weak, clumsy, fragile mess that was called the human body seemed to be the rare resource. To each their own, right? But of course, I of all people understood. Not for me, but for the one I knew was between two worlds. The one I was just within reach of getting back into my life. And I was more than happy to have Disco as my guinea pig.

No, no, I wasn't putting Disco into a goddamn animal. But yes, okay, maybe the 28 year old tied up to the tree and sedated with what apparently one of my nurse friends called a Bentley. Benadryl, Haldol, and... something else. I really didn't care. It worked, and dude was breathing, but unaware of his surroundings. Most importantly he was quiet. On the other hand, Disco was not.

"If this doesn't work, can you... I mean can you reverse the attempt? I mean... Shit I'm not gonna go into that thing am I?"
It's going to fucking work, so chill the fuck out. The nurse friend in question was a witch, warlock, whatever the fuck they preferred to be called. She didn't know what I was doing exactly, but she did sell me a few odds for a decent price. Unspecific things, to help me focus and amplify my abilities. I wasn't sure if they would actually work, but once I held them in my hand, I could feel it. The best way to describe it was that I had a funnel, so that none of my intent and energy were wasted. Three rocks, well... purple crystal looking things, with quite sharp edges, but not so much that they weren't easy to hold in my palm. She'd also given me some dust, which of course, I had no fucking clue how to use because I sure as hell wasn't going to tell her why I needed it. I sifted some at the ground before the stag, some at the feet of the sleeping millennial douche, and some at my own feet.

I hope you prepared your identity, because booty shorts aren't cool on dudes anymore. You ready?
"So help me God if I wake up -"
I am your God, Disco. Have faith.

"It worked! You're the man, Shane, it worked!" I watched him, a feeling of pride washing over me. I untied him, and as for the buck - I'd already made sure that the buck was on it's way out before I even started. Luckily, this time I was able to time it just right. Millennial was out of the picture. All Disco could do was touch himself, and no, I don't mean he was in hand to gland combat. I suppose it made sense, just feeling his skin, feeling what it was like to actually have a sense of touch.

A few things. If you want to use ol' boy's ID and life, that's fine - but I don't recommend it. That's why I got him from bumfuck North Dakota. But I still suggest you make a few changes to his appearance, and once you get the money, a lil face change wouldn't hurt. I mean, we've already discussed some of this, but for fucks' sake take me seriously.

"No, no," He caught himself. Like me, he was probably a bit put off by the voice change. " I've already decided. I'm Chris Foster. Still can't decide on a career, but we'll get there."
That brings me to my next point. You're my first success, so I'm not going to charge you in money. I said I'd do it for free and I meant it. But I still think you could do something for me.
"You know I already-"
Bodies, Chris, bodies. Find me the lost, the forgotten. Fuck, I don't know, look for the suicidals in psych wards. Maybe it would go even easier if we had willing participants.
"I suppose I'll send them your way, Shane. Thanks again.. this is.. this is great."
